Description

Kurt Vonnegut

Souvenir typescript, 8.5 x 11, featuring an excerpt from Vonnegut’s fourth book, Cat’s Cradle. Excerpt reads, in part: “Call me Jonah. My parents did, or nearly did. They called me John, not because I have been unlucky for others, but because somebody or something has compelled me to be certain places at certain times, without fail. Conveyances and motives, both conventional and bizarre, have been provided. And, according to plan, at each appointed second, at each appointed place this Jonah was there,” signed in black felt tip, adding a profile-sketch of himself and the date June 14, 1996. In fine condition, with light creasing and mild overall haloing to the signature and sketch. RRAuction COA.
