AQS, signed “Edward E. Hale,” on a 5 x 7 off-white sheet of South Congregational Church stationery, dated June 3, 1888. Hale pens a quote from ‘Ten Times One Is Ten.’ In full: “Look up and not down, look forward and not back, look out and not in: lend a hand.” Sheet is affixed to an identical size sheet. In very good condition, with central horizontal and vertical fold, scattered toning and soiling, and mounting remnants to reverse. RRAuction COA.
