Mayor of New York City during the Civil War. Three bank checks from Broadway Bank, all 8.25 x 3.75, all dated March 5, 1863, and all filled out in another hand and signed by Opdyke as mayor for judiciary salaries. Also signed by the clerk and comptroller. In fine condition, with light toning along the edges and a central cancellation cut to each check. RRAuction COA.
