TLS, signed, “Norman Rockwell,” one page, 6.5 x 7.5, February 16, 1942. Rockwell responds to an artistic idea from a fan, in full: “Thank you very much indeed for your kindness in sending my [sic] your very interesting idea for a Saturday Evening Post cover, or Thanksgiving painting. However, I have a hard and fast rule to use only my own ideas, good or bad as they may be. Thank you again though, for your interest in writing.” Double-matted, including a photo of Rockwell, and a color print of the actual 1942 Thanksgiving cover of the Saturday Evening Post that Rockwell designed, to an overall size of 24 x 20. In fine condition, with two sets of light horizontal lines, and an authenticity sticker affixed to the bottom right corner. RRAuction COA.
