French composer, best known for his opera Louise (1860–1956). ALS in French, on the correspondence side of a 5.5 x 3.5 postcard, no date. The composer jots a brief, message which reads, in full (translated): “I have taken the liberty of giving your address to a friend who lives in New York, in case he would have trouble joining me.
