Three signed glossy and matte-finish photos, one color, ranging in size from 3.25 x 5.25 up to 5 x 6. The two smaller ones are signed and inscribed to Gene Tunney and dated 1964 and 1965. The largest photo bears a lengthy handwritten note from Chevalier to Tunney, reading, in part: “Would you–could you send me…photos of you of same size. One in boxing attire 1926. One as you are now 1960…I find inspiration at this time of my life in two or three men of your caliber and would treasure the photo till the end.” A rusty paperclip mark to edge of smaller photo, and a couple slight brushes to text of note, otherwise fine condition.
