Color satin-finish 14 x 11 photo of Shepard on board the USS Champlain, his Freedom 7 capsule, secured on the deck behind him, signed in blue ballpoint “Alan Shepard.” Notation on reverse from the signature’s recipient reads, “Shepard Signature obtained personally by A J Cipriano at Mayflower Hotel June 26, 1979. National Space Institute Conference Wash D.C.” In fine condition, with a few trivial edge bends and creases, and light skipping to a single letter of signature.
