Early professional football player turned boxing promoter (1892-1980). Thirty ALSs, all signed “Dick,” or “Dick Vick,” all one page, ranging in size from 5 x 8 up to 8.5 x 11, dating from 1949-1953, most on Dick Vick Boxing Enterprises letterhead. All letters are to Johnny [Kenny] forwarding contracts and arranging fights primarily for a boxer named Johnny Kamber. One letter from 1949 reads, in part: “Johnny Fredericks is out as Johnny’s opponent. He will box Johnny Lemons instead. Fredericks wanted no part of Kamber. Lemons in my opinion is an easier opponent anyway. The weight and terms will be the same.” In fine overall condition. RRAuction COA.
