Original artwork for a one-panel political cartoon titled "The Sentry on the Manchurian Border," depicting World War III personified as a Roman centurion with sword towering over a guard shack, ink and crayon on textured artist's cardstock, 17.75 x 22, late 1940s–early 1950s, signed in ink at lower right, "Bruce Russell." In very good to fine condition, with usual touch-ups with artist's white-out, editorial notations to margins, and some mild toning, damp staining and soiling. RRAuction COA.
