Description

Souvenir typescript on a 6.75 x 8 tan sheet, signed and inscribed at the conclusion in blue ink by Updike. The final chapter of ‘Packed Dirt, Churchgoing, A Dying Cat, A Traded Car,’ which appeared in a 1961 edition of The New Yorker, beginning, “Any day now we will trade it in; we are just waiting for the phone to ring.” In fine condition, with a block of light uniform toning.
