Nine fountain pen signatures of Duke Ellington and his band on a custom-made 10 x 13 page upon which has been affixed two newspaper clippings and a 1944 newspaper advertisement. Signers are: Ellington, Sonny Greer, William (Cat) Anderson, Rosita Davis, Jimmy Hamilton, Albert Hibbler, Junior Naglin, Ray Nance, and Al Sears. Many of the musicians have added their respective instruments and a few are inscribed. In very good condition, with moderate toning and Ellington’s signature a little light due to irregular ink adhesion. Matted with a portrait of Ellington to an overall size of 23 x 18.
