Albert Gore, Jr., et al on Writ of Certiorari to the Florida Supreme Court,” 8.5 x 11, 13 pages, signed in ballpoint on the first page (slightly different in hue from the remaining pages) “Clarence Thomas.” This historic decision blocked a recount of votes in Florida following the controversial 2000 election, effectively placing the Supreme Court’s stamp of approval on the presidency of George W.
