Composer (1874–1954) regarded as one of the first American composers to garner international acclaim. DS, signed rather shakily, as was his typical style, “Chas. E. Ives,” one page, 8.5 x 11, September 9, 1942. Ives agrees to terms for the publication of his work, ‘The Greatest Man.’ In part: “You are hereby authorized to proceed with the publication of the composition named above which is to be printed in accordance with the following specifications.” Those details included the printing of 1,000 copies at a cost of $33.07. In very good condition, with two filing punch holes at the top, staple holes, wrinkling, and several tiny tears along the right edge. RRAuction COA.
