Hall of Fame football executive (1912–1971) who owned the Cleveland/Los Angeles Rams from 1941 until his death. Among his notable accomplishments was signing the first African-American NFL player after World War II, Kenny Washington, in 1946. Commemorative cover honoring Reeves’s induction into the Football Hall of Fame, signed vertically in blue ink; Reeves has also placed his initials at the top of the 6-cent US postage stamp.
