FBI agent and archetypical “G-Man” (1903–1960) responsible for the capture of John Dillinger, “Pretty Boy” Floyd, “Baby Face” Nelson, and other notorious baddies. TLS signed “Melvin,” one page, 7 x 8.25, personal letterhead, October 30, 1934. Letter to Charles Fram at Abernethy-Turrentine Publishing Company. In part: “It was good to see you when you were here in August and I hope when you come by again you will come in to see me. The photograph which you enclosed is also noted and you are right-O I did not duck in time.” In very good condition, with trimmed edges, horizontal mailing fold through signature, and scattered toning.
