Description

Joan Crawford

Two one-page TLSs signed “Joan Crawford,” one dated March 13, 1957, and the other March 28, 1957. Both were sent to Diana Novissimo at Dodge Vocational High School in New York City regarding an interview request. The first reads, in part: “I would have been delighted to accede to your request were it not for the fact that I am going out of town very shortly with my husband, and do not expect to be in New York for more than a day or two at a time during the next two months. However, if you would like to send me a list of questions, and leave a space for my answers below each question, I would be more than pleased to try and give you the information you want.” Accompanied by the first letter’s original mailing envelopes and the aforementioned typed questions and answers in which Crawford cites hard work, complete dedication, as well as “self-discipline, self-control, exercising and dancing” as keys to being a successful actress. In very good condition, with scattering soiling and toning with irregular blocks of toning on one letter. RRAuction COA.
