British Field Marshal (1861–1936) who led the Egyptian Expeditionary force in Palestine and Syria during World War I. ALS signed “Allenby,” one page, 5.25 x 7, personal letterhead, November 10, 1932. Allenby writes to M. Bentwich. In part: “I am unable to have the honour & pleasure of accepting your kind invitation to be the guest of your Paladin Club…. I am gratified and honoured by the invitation to become an honorary member of the club; but my engagements are so numerous that I must gratefully decline.” A few light bends and creases, otherwise fine condition.
