The tallest documented human being of modern times, Wadlow (1918–1940), who reached a height of 8’11”, made his living as a touring novelty attraction and shoe company spokesman before dying at the age of 22. Vintage glossy 3.5 x 5 postcard photo of Wadlow posing in front of a doorway, signed on the reverse in pencil. In fine condition, with a few surface impressions, silvering to the darker areas and a collector notation on the reverse noting that the autograph was obtained at the 1936 Illinois State Fair.
