Mayor of Paris from the Girondin extremist party. He committed suicide shortly before the fall of Robespierre. Partly-printed DS, in French, signed “Petion,” one page, 7.5 x 12, April 16, 1792. Untranslated document signed by Petion while serving as Mayor of Paris. In fine condition, with light edge toning, chips to left side, and a couple pencil notations. RRAuction COA.
