George Edward Stanhope Molyneux Herbert, 5th Earl of Carnarvon, English aristocrat (1866-1923) best known as the financier of the excavation of the Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun's tomb. Ink signature, “Carnarvon,” on an off-white 2.25 x .5 slip, affixed to a slightly larger light blue slip. Irregular edges and a bit of mild soiling, otherwise fine condition. RRAuction COA.
