Vintage sepia matte-finish 9.75 x 13.25 head-and-shoulders photo of Lindbergh in his leather flight cap and goggles, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Lt. Robert Douglass, Charles A. Lindbergh.” Photo is affixed to an identical size lightweight board. Robert Wilkins Douglass (1900-1976) spent over 35 years in the military reaching the rank of Major General. His decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star Medal, and the Air Medal. In very good condition, with light silvering to darker areas of image, some light corner and edge creases, repaired tear to left edge, and a light diagonal ripple through bottom portion of facial area.
