Scottish novelist and poet (1771–1832) best known for such classics as Ivanhoe, Rob Roy, and Waverley. Ink signature, “Walter Scott,” on an off-white 2.25 x .75 slip. Slip is affixed to 8.75 X 7.5 piece of heavy stock, with an image of Scott above the signature and the signature’s provenance is handwritten below it by Catherine Derby, great-great granddaughter of King Derby of Salem, Massachusetts. In fine condition, with a bit of scattered light toning, and a small chip to bottom edge, not affecting signature. RRAuction COA.
