His 1952 stay in an Italian villa served as the inspiration for the Academy Award–winning 1994 film Il Postino. Vintage 3 x 3.75 magazine photo, affixed to a 3.5 x 5.5 off-white card, signed in fountain pen under the photo, in Spanish, “Every day the sun rises, Pablo Neruda, Madrid 1935.” In fine condition, with a bit of scattered light soiling.
