Italian composer of modernist tendencies (1883–1947) perhaps best known for his “retrospective” works Scarlattiana and Paganiniani. Vintage matte-finish 7 x 4.75 photo on a 9.5 x 7.5 mount of the thoughtful, seated composer studying a score, signed and inscribed on the image in purple ink (in Italian) to Vittorio Scotti and dated Rome, June 1918. In fine condition, with some scattered subtle silvering at edges and darker areas of image and a few faint rubs. RRAuction COA.
