King of Sweden from 1660 until his death in 1697, during an unruly period in Swedish history. He is often described in Sweden as the greatest of all the Swedish kings. Manuscript DS crisply signed “Carolus,” one page both sides, 8.25 x 12.5, April 2, 1676. An untranslated official document. In very good condition, with scattered light toning and foxing, old cellophane tape repair to right edge, toning from seal on reverse, a couple of small pinholes of paper loss, and storage folds.
