Third-person ALS, one page, 4.5 x 7, personal letterhead, January 3, 1889. Tennyson sends thanks for a book of poems sent by Stanhope Edgar Ward. In part: “Lord Tennyson will be obliged to receive the…’Poems of Persia’ and thanks him for…sending them.” Accompanied by the original black-bordered mailing envelope, addressed in Tennyson’s hand.
