ALS, one page, 4.5 x 3.5, Burwash letterhead, dated April 21, 1919. The Nobel Prize-winning author sent this letter of thanks to one Mrs. Parkenson in response to a previous message. In full, the British author wrote: “This is just a line to thank you very heartily indeed for all that you say in your letter of the 19th and to wish your two boys all the good fortune that the future may hold.” The writing is affected by a bit of light toning, which makes the signature appear a couple of shades light; Kipling’s handwriting is still completely legible, however, and overall condition is fine. Double-cloth-matted and framed with a portrait of Kipling to 11.5 x 18.25. RRAuction COA.
