Airmail cover, 6.5 x 3.5, with a Kennedy Space Center postmark for January 28, 1986, the day of the Challenger disaster, signed in various inks by Dick Scobee, Mike Smith, Ellison Onizuka, Judy Resnik, Ronald E. McNair, Greg Jarvis, and S. Christa McAuliffe. According to the consignor, the present item is one of only 10 covers signed by the crew. Very subtle bleeding to McNair’s middle initial, and recipient’s name ink-stamped at lower right, otherwise very fine condition. A rare gathering from this sobering space tragedy!
