Vintage glossy 2.75 x 4.5 photo of Louis with a young admirer, signed and inscribed in ink “To Frank, Best wishes, Joe Louis, 8/23/37.” Louis attained the world heavyweight title on June 22, 1937 and held it until his retirement a decade later. In very good condition, with scattered small creases and surface marks, a few tiny tears, and light edge wear. A great image from the dawn of the Brown Bomber’s stellar career!
