Beloved Canadian actress (1868–1934) who, as a middle-aged ex-vaudevillian, became one of the biggest screen draws of the silent and early sound eras, winning an Academy Award for her performance in Min and Bill (1930). Very early 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photo by John H. Ryder, Cleveland, signed in fountain pen “Marie Dressler” under a four-bar musical quotation of “Auld Lang Syne.” Affixed to a same-sized board.
