Elderly franking signature, “J. Adams,” on a 4.75 x 3 mailing panel addressed in another hand to Cadet Thomas B. Adams at West Point Academy and dated November 1824. The reverse bears several partial lines of text from the original letter. In very good condition, with two vertical folds (one to “A”; short edge separations), and soiling.
