Distinguished author (1811–1896) whose epochal 1852 novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin brought the issue of slavery to the fore of American consciousness and became one of the classics of 19th-century literature. AQS on an off-white faintly lined 4 x 6 sheet, signed “H. B.
