During his 23-year career as an infielder (1912-35), mostly with the Boston Braves, he established many fielding records with his colorful play, including most lifetime putouts by a shortstop (5,133). He was elected to Baseball’s Hall of Fame in 1954. Vintage fountain pen signature, “To many Happy & Joyous evenings spent down in the Amen Room with the Fallons of Jamaica, yours in sport, Rabbit Maranville, Capt. Boston Braves 1933,” on an off-white 9.25 x 7.25 album page, removed from a guest book. In fine condition, with some mild edge wear and toning, and some slight show-through from signature on reverse.
