Description

Though known as a women’s rights leader, she also campaigned against slavery and in favor of temperance. Along with Elizabeth Cady Stanton she founded the American Equal Rights Association in 1866, and she spent the better part of her life trying to win voting rights for women in the United States. In 1920, 14 years after Anthony’s death, American women finally won the vote with the passage of the 19th Amendment. Vintage ink signature, “Susan B. Anthony, 17 Madison Street, Rochester, N. Y.,” on an off-white 5 x 3 deckle-edge card, dated August 1, 1902. In fine condition. R&R COA.
