Nobel Prize–winning Irish dramatist and critic (1856–1950) who takes a place among the most distinguished and influential literary figures of his time. Matte-finish 3.5 x 5.5 postcard photo by Violet Keene, Toronto, signed and inscribed in ink, “To Clarkson Rose, G. Bernard Shaw.” The reverse is addressed in Shaw’s hand and bears a 1937 postmark. A very mild hint of soiling and silvering, and a few subtle, unobtrusive “bumps” to image from glue traces to address panel, otherwise fine, attractive condition. R&R COA.
