Vintage lightly lined off-white 4 x 6.5 notebook page, circa 1920s, bearing a collector’s handwitten heading “Autographs of Ball Players,” signed in ink by Babe Ruth, Lou Blue, Otto G. Williams, Bob Muesel, Edwin Wells, Oscar Stanage, Fred Haney, Johnny Bassler, E[arl] Whitehill, G. F. McBride, and Lil E. Stoner. As most of the signers were ’20s-era Tigers, the signatures were probably obtained at a Yankees-Tigers game. Haney’s major league career as a player spanned the years 1922–29, while Williams coached the Tigers for a single season (1925), further narrowing the likely date of the item. In very good condition, with toning, small edge tear touching Bassler’s first name (tape repair to reverse), and mild handling wear. Ruth’s signature is clear and dark.
