Ohio-born yet strangely exotic film actress (1885–1955), nicknamed “The Vamp,” who became one of the most iconic sex symbols of the silent era. Matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of the glamorously dressed actress, inscribed in fountain pen (in French) and signed “Theda Bara, 1916.” In very good to fine, visually appealing condition, with indistinct contrast to a few letters against background, faint, unobtrusive vertical crease (touching face and first letter of signature), a hint of marginal soiling, and subtle silvering to dark portions.
