Longtime Emperor of Ethiopia (1892–1975) who reigned from 1930 to 1974. Selassie was one of the most revered figures among followers of the Rastafari movement, whose members viewed him as a symbol of God incarnate. Uncommon early ink signature, “H[aile] R. R., 1936,” on a cream 5.5 x 3.5 card with affixed magazine photo. Accompanied by a transmittal envelope and catalogue card from an early collector. A few very faint, subtle spots to card, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
