Franking signature, “Free, M. Van Buren,” on a 4.5 x 3 (panel size) postal cover addressed in his hand and bearing a Saratoga Springs postmark and “FREE” ink stamp. A docket on a flap dates the item to August 15, 1843. In very good condition, with vertical area of light toning (touching “M.
