Canadian-born Mohawk Indian actor (1912–1980) best known for his role as Tonto in the Lone Ranger television series. Tinted vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Silverheels holding a rifle, signed and inscribed in blue ink, “To John, I am so happy and proud to have you in my Fan Club. You have [sic] so patient and considerate. Thanks for everything, Jay Silverheels.” A few subtle surface marks, very faint, unobtrusive stain to background, and negative flaw at upper left corner, otherwise fine condition.
