British military officer and statesman (1850–1916) who served as Victoria’s aide-de-camp in the Sudan, commanded the British forces during the Boer War, and was appointed Secretary of State for War at the outbreak of World War I. Glossy 3.5 x 5.25 postcard photo, signed in ink “Kitchener.” In very good condition, with slightly irregular adhesion to a few strokes, mild rippling and handling wear, and mounting traces to reverse.
