Sherpa guide (1914–1986) who, along with Edmund Hillary, was a member of the first party to reach the summit of Mount Everest in 1953. Matte-finish 3.5 x 5.5 photo, signed in blue ink. The reverse also bears a personalized ANS by Norgay presenting the photo. In good condition, with heavy creases to lower portion of photo (slightly touching signature but not affecting legibility; light crease slightly touching face).
