Quoting one of his best-known works on his final New Year’s Day

Italian violinist, composer, and conductor (1822–1903) best known for such operas as I Briganti and Il Corsaro and the song “Il Bacio.” Vintage AMQS in ink, approximately 15 measures of “Il Bacio” [The Kiss] on a cream 3.5 x 4.5 slip, signed “Luigi Arditi” and dated (in Italian) Brighton, January 1, 1903. Arditi died exactly four months later, on May 1. Faint horizontal fold, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
