Important American pop artist (1923–1997) best known for his oversized, comic book–inspired imagery incorporating the “benday” dot technique. Interesting purple cut-out of one of Lichtenstein’s trademark paint strokes, possibly used as a template, approximately 9.5 x 3.5, signed in pencil “R. Lichtenstein.” Mild handling wear, and somewhat indistinct contrast against color background, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
