Commemorative postal cover with a 1926 cancellation honoring the First Flight Inaugurating Contract Air Mail, 9.5 x 4, addressed in another hand and signed “C. A. Lindbergh, November 1939.” Lindbergh piloted this historic St. Louis-to-Chicago route a year before the famed transatlantic flight for which he would become best known. In good condition, with tears and chips to top and right edges from rough opening, wrinkles, mild scattered soiling, and small blots to the last letter of Lindbergh’s signature and date. R&R COA.
