Superb vintage leather-bound autograph album, approximately 6 x 4.75, 1930s, containing more than 60 ink signatures, nearly all single-sided, a minority with personalized inscriptions (many of which could easily be matted out). In addition to the variety of the signatures represented, the album’s pages are especially notable for their startlingly fresh appearance. In contrast to typical albums of the period, almost invariably made of low-quality stock susceptible to toning, this album (apart from mild wear to the covers) bears no such evidence of its age—indeed, the bright, spotless pages even retain the subtle gloss original to their manufacture. Apart from a few scattered brushes, the album is in very fine condition, the great majority of the signatures dark, bold, and—dare we say—perfect. R&R COA.
