American writer. Through his poetry, prose, and drama he made important contributions to the Harlem Renaissance. His best-known works include Weary Blues (1926) and The Ways of White Folks (1934). Scarce vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in green fountain pen “To Roger Harris - Sincerely - Langston Hughes 1958.” Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from James Spence. In very good condition, with several noticeable creases, scattered surface impressions, light brush to inscription, and a paperclip impression to top edge. Very scarce in signed photos. R&R COA.
