Slight, dapper character actor (1889–1958) best known for his portrayals of prissy, exasperated hotel managers, clerks, tailors, and professional men in films of the 1930s and 1940s. Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 photo, signed in fountain pen “Best wishes from Franklin Pangborn, 1939.” A few dents to left edge, a few tiny edge creases, and the subtlest hint of silvering to dark portion at bottom, otherwise fine, fresh condition.
