Early aircraft manufacturer. Having established aircraft factories in Germany prior to the outbreak of WWI, Fokker soon found his biplanes and triplanes in heavy demand for military use. He also invented a device that allowed machine guns to shoot through moving aircraft propellers, an apparatus used to great advantage by the Red Baron, Manfred von Richthofen. Vintage fountain pen signature, “Fokker,” on an off-white slip, clipped from a letter sent to Fokker. Double matted with a small portrait of Fokker, to an overall size of 8 x 10. In fine condition, with Fokker signing over sentiment of letter, resulting in some light contrast. R&R COA.
