Following her final screen appearance in 1923, she lived as a recluse in California until the end of her life.] In full: “Jim wants me to tell you how very much mother and I enjoyed your latest picture. I thought it was great. Your work has improved a hundred percent. You are a splendid little actress. I would like so much to have you and your mother come to our surprise party we are giving my sister Lottie on her birthday next Saturday night. Goodbye, Mary. I wish you all the health, happiness, and success that I know you deserve. One of your ardent fans….” 2) Vintage sepia matte-finish 7.5 x 9.5 photo of Pickford standing at an enormous door, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Mary from Mary.” A most notable association with these two legends of the Silent Era!
